FAQs
Do I have to have dance experience to take a Soul Motion class?
Not only is it not necessary, but in many cases it is also better not to have any kind of background in this sense because sometimes it takes more energy to get out of the patterns already learned than to let yourself go slowly in search of your own inner rhythm.
What kind of music is played in Soul Motion classes?
In Sol Motion the musical choice ranges between the most diverse genres, sounds and rhythms that allow the exploration of multiple types of involvement and movement.
From funk to jazz, from classical to ethnic music, from tribal to pop, everything allows a different perspective of observation with respect to one’s feelings, one’s letting go, one’s need for intimacy, the flow of different inner landscapes.
One thing is certain: we go from music that favors introspection to lively music, even pop and known, which often releases a wonderful group energy, unleashing joy and a sense of liberation.
Do you have to be athletic, outgoing and have the "suitable body" for dance?
Absolutely not. The only requirement is an honest intention to be yourself. The willingness to listen to the nature, the breadth and the pleasure (or even the discomfort sometimes…) of one’s own personal movement. Moving a hand is already dancing. Thousands of micro-movements that our body performs in every moment already represent the permanent dance inside and around us.
All are welcome. Everyone dances and can dance. Without distinction of bodily ability or disability.
